june's netflix buffet [watching]

"loudQUIETloud: a film about the pixies" - my my, somebody got fat...

"later with jools holland: cool britannia" - i just got this one to pick through it and watch bands i like and perhaps discover something new.

"made in sheffield" - great film about the sheffield music scene. i discovered new bands to try out, *joy*

"quantum leap: season 1" - my girlfriend has not watched "quantum leap" so i showed her an episode online thanks to netflix's instant view capabilities. this is something the mac couldn't do when the feature was first introduced. however, now it's mac friendly and i could really love it. since i got to like the show during cable reruns, i decided maybe it wouldn't be so bad to watch every single episode. so i watched what i could online and then got the discs for the episodes that aren't available to view online. the show isn't as good as i remember it but hey, it's not so bad either.

"metal: a headbanger's journey (disc 2)" - i have cable tv yet i rarely watch it. i mostly just dvr a couple shows and watch those when i have a moment. somehow, this film was on tv and immediately hit record. the program wasn't too far along and thanks to the beauty of dvrs, it back-recorded so that i can say i've seen the whole thing. this is a fan going around, talking about metal and interviewing famous metal musicians, at least to me because he got some footage with mayhem (hails!). needless to say, i wanted more so i got the bonus disc to watch.

"joy division" - i like the band and movies made about the band but i'm not sure if i like documentaries that focus only on the band. i may have snoozed or fast forwarded or multi-tasked and not paid attention, sorry.

"true blood: season 2" - they are fucking up the stories, god! seaon one was soooo good. it's what got me into the books. i hope things improve.
