february's netflix buffet [watching]
it's been awhile since i've really sat myself down to watch movies as you can tell by the low volumne of netflix rentings this past month.
"halloween II" - i think that rob zombie just needs to stop fucking with the "halloween" series. yes, that series got out of control and began to suck as hard as any series does. however, his version is everything that's wrong with modern horror. it's about blood and guts instead of actually being scared.
"shorts" - this film is a series of shorts, hence the title. i got this one as i love robert rodriguez's films. i thought this was a great kid's film and as an adult, i enjoyed it too. i think this kind of kid's comedy film is what he excels at, besides action.
"pixar short films: vol. 1" - i've seen the short films in theaters when i go to watch the main features that pixar produces but i wanted to see the complete collection as i wasn't sure what i had missed. if you haven't seen the shorts, then i'd recommend this as some of their shorts are brilliant snippets of cinematic excellence.
