housewarming party [living]

i could call this one "3 nights in a row of clubbing part 3" but "housewarming party" is a lot better. you know, i don't have that many friends. at least, not that many in my area and even less who i can see on a regular basis. everyone is so busy with their own lives and partners and children that some days i feel so alone. i need more friends but going out by myself sucks and no one really can go out with me. so i'm trying to go out more. i went out locally on thursday and friday and told myself i have to make new friends. only, it was very forced thursday and i really didn't click with anyone so i didn't tell anyone that i'm having a housewarming party. on friday, things were much better. i was dancing with some older ladies but i think they thought i was too young or a terrible dancer and that was the end of that. then i was dancing with a gay guy and he said he came with his boyfriend and friend so i was like, why are you dancing alone? seriously. hahahaa so i got to meet them and invited them to my housewarming party on saturday. one of them showed up. new friend? check! that's a good thing. i knew many people i invited would not show up but i had lots of food just in case. you never know if someone is going to bring their partner or child. overall, i realized you could break down the party to my relatives and my friends. my friends you could break down to latinas i've known for years and the new girl, so i'm sure it was intimidating to be thrown into a group that seems like they've known each other for a long time, when in reality, very few of my friends know each other. i only hang out with 1 or 2 people at a time. when i was in a couple, then we would hang out with couples so that's the max i've really hung out with and got to know. overall, i think everything went well. then most of us went out to another local club. i went there once before. it's not so great. i don't think i'm going there again.
