august's netflixing [watching]
this is a very brief overview of what i watched this month.
"happy gilmore" - at first i didn't really like adam sandler that much, just a couple characters on "saturday night live". some of his movies are alright. this was just ok.
"in the time of the butterflies" - this was a pretty good movie. historical. political. latin america.
"outfoxed: murdoch's war on journalism" - some people say that murdoch is a flip-flopper. hahaahaaa damn, this documentary can make you angry, or at least very frustrated.
"prozac nation" - depressed girl annoys her friends and family. wow, i have no idea what that kind of person is like. hahaha actually, not so good.
"coffee and cigarettes" - kinda boring. the only thing that interested me was the jack white and meg white segment as i'm not really familiar with their talking voices and mannerisms, more just the music.
"milk" - i saw the documentary on harvey milk and finally got around to seeing the movie on his life. this was pretty good. i'm not into sean penn but he really became the character. worth it for that.
"psycho II"
"psycho III"
i watched these to complete the series as i've seen the original, the remake, and part 4. the second one was ok. the idea was that norman bates served his time and is now released. however, part 3 was not good. but now i understand why during halloween at universal studios there were football players staying at the bates motel. i think it's reference to part 3.
