well, i had a nice weekend, for once! (or so it feels like)

on friday i had to do some volunteer work and then i was going to meet my friend at a club in west hollywood. she had to cancel. great, and i brought one of my new funny shirts so she could get a laugh out of it. now i don't feel comfortable wearing that shirt and going by myself. luckily, someone else texted me to go to another club. i still had an inkling to wear the shirt and if no one was in the parking lot, i was going to change into it. however, there was a couple right in front of my car so i went into the club as is, the same as how i looked at work, only now much more tired. doesn't matter, had a real good time with a girl who thinks i'm smart and cute and all that. in fact we were making out on the patio for like half an hour and i didn't look to see who said it but some girl came right up to us and said, "we're so jealous!" that made me feel good. club compliments like that are good.

the next night was latin girl bar and i really wanted to go to meet some latinas and maybe get a little something something but after friday there was no need. hahaha instead i hung out with twiddle thumbs who just bought rock band 2 and we played that shit for hours. i've gotten mad at playing the demo versions in stores because i always play the guitar. i hate the cheap plastic guitar for those guitar games. it practically gives my thumb a blister. instead, we did drums and vocals. that was like karaoke video game with a friend jamming, pretty cool! then today was an end of summer booze cruise in the harbor. basically a club on a boat. it wasn't as crowded as i thought it'd be so not really a chance for me to make friends, especially given that the two girls i talked to the most were straight and seemed like they were only trying to be nice and ditched me at the end. fair enough. then of course, birthday dinner with mom and those considered the nuclear family. man, i'm still smiling over friday though. i always joke that other people who have problems, well the solution is simply that they need to get laid when all this time i should've applied that to myself. i feel like my life has turned around. what a difference from the previous friday!
