blackberry memory glitches [geeking]

a couple of times now i have noticed my blackberry wipe out my messages and call log. it does this on its own. recently it vibrated 2x, (i usually have it set to vibrate so as not to be the annoying person at work with their ringtone blasting away), and when i checked the phone there were no calls nor emails, no reason for it to have buzzed. i looked at my call log in case i had missed a call and the phone had failed to display the missed call icon. i was surprised to see the call log empty when i had just placed a call. then i looked at my inbox and it was empty. i know i had just sent and received txts. soooo, two buzzes means blackberry has a memory glitch and loses everything?

i searched the internet to find out what was going on. turns out, when blackberry is low on memory, it wipes the call log and txt messages. i'm not sure if i had any email in the phone to check if those were sacrificed as well but my saved messages were still there. the funny thing though is why did it have low memory? i didn't think i was a memory hog. i keep it pretty clear of messages and pictures. i don't have any extra ringtones in there. the only thing i don't do is wipe out the call log on my own. then i realized that in the past 2 weeks or so i've downloaded a couple apps to try them out. i thought it might be handy on the memorial weekend road trip and my new single life. well, if i really need those apps i can re-download. i proceeded to delete a couple of those apps. since then, blackberry has not crapped out on me in the same manner.

how does blackberry crap out? it's always done this but blackberry is a little computer and sometimes you have to restart it. i hate it but that's life. i'm very impatient with the restart process. sometimes there will be an icon on the desktop that says i have a new message when in fact i don't, i already read my message. or i can't open an application. that's when it's time to take out the battery, put it back in, and then leave the phone alone. if i don't place it away from me somehow, i'll just stare at it, getting very impatient. is it worth all that just to get rid of one desktop icon? yes, yes it is.
