i'm about to go on a road trip and on the way home i got into a minor car accident. my car's teeth got knocked out. that is to say that the grill is broken so i removed it. the hood has been dented in. the other car has some paint marks of mine rubbed onto it and some small dents on the bumper. it's like my car is made of soft plastic and theirs is made of hard metal. we had just started up from a red light turning to green so we weren't going very fast. the amount of damage on both cars compared is boggling. but at least my car sustained more of the damage because i'd feel so bad the other way around. as soon as this happened, all i saw was dollar signs. how much is this gonna cost me and how much is my insurance gonna go up. i'm so screwed. we were supposed to use my car for the road trip we're going on tomorrow! ahhh.. instead there is slight talk of cancelling the trip. hell no. all the car rentals are closed now. except for near the airport. so we decide to rent one from other there for a week. this allows me to drive it when we get back from the trip while i decide what i need to do with my car. i won't let this ruin my weekend. i'll think about car troubles once i get back. my car drives fine, it's just cosmetic damage, but i can't go around with it like that. if it rains, the water will get in under the hood for sure. ahhh... i can't afford my life!
