today was my ex's birthday. disneyland has this promo thing this year where you get in on your birthday for free. of course you have to register ahead of time. and we did. months ahead of time. and so i've been thinking we were going for a very long time. which is why it killed me when she dumped me... no disneyland? but i don't like it. you love it. and i was gonna go for you...

i'm at disneyland, trick!

well we went. we said we'd go, that the breakup didn't cancel it. however, it wasn't just us. one of her in-laws also has the same birthday registered. that made it a bit awkward perhaps. i've never spent so much time with that particular in-law before. they're alright. we were surprised at how many of the rides that person has never been on. so that set our course for the day. we tried to go on the rides they have never been on plus the usual favorites of course. oh yeah, i finally got to go on the finding nemo ride! just like i thought, not a big deal, but at least i've been on it.

the cool thing about right now is that it's 2fer season for southern california residents. that means that you get to go to both parks for the price of one but you can't go to both disneyland and california adventure on the same day. those with the free birthday entrance are really lucky. they got a free 2fer ticket! my birthday is not during 2fer season so later on i'll only get 1 ticket. that's ok, like i said, not the biggest disney fan.
