there are other fish in the sea [uncoupling]

it's not just a phrase. there really are other fish in the sea. i realized this today by accident. i was reading my book on the bus coming back from my lunch break and this girl needed some directions. she needed to get to a building close to my work so i decided to point the way. then i decided to just walk her over there as close as possible. we were talking and she's considering different film schools. coincidence! she sounded foreign. she was kinda cute. i think we could've been friends due to the film thing. anyway, that little moment of smiling because someone is new and cute is something i had forgotten or perhaps never known. maybe there is someone else out there for me. i think my eyes are starting to open.
