tonight we went to a new vegan place for us to check things out. we were intrigued because their fake meat is based on jackfruit, which i've never heard of someone doing before. we ate at pure luck restaurant. it was alright. it's like college junk food. i really felt like i was back in college again. strange. we had the appetizer of fries and fried pickles. fried pickles? yeah, another strange thing. but wait, there was one more strange thing. we got another appetizer which should have been dessert. it was fried bananas with whip cream in a tortilla. really, what's going on people? i had to try it though. i mean, i was going for new things! for dinner, i had some tacos and a coke. no, i didn't eat everything we ordered! my take home leftovers were huge. they serve you a good size of food. i need to try more things on the menu to really get a final feel for the place. i wish their web site would get out of the construction phase and at least put up a menu.
