hanging with the homies [traveling]

my tofusito meal at 100% natural

this morning was the luxury of having a pot of boiled water to mix with cold water to make it a just right bucket shower. i know you're jealous. we took the metro and then the metro bus to have a late breakfast with sara's cuates. the metro bus was a long ride and there was a tv inside but the volume was really low. i was surprised to see the music video for "teenage angst" by placebo. the breakfast was at 100% natural in colonia del valle. it's not a vegetarian place but they have vegetarian options. it kind of looks like a place that the trendy people with money go to. i had the tofusito, which was tofu tacos with guacamole and salad, hold the cheese. i think it was the guacamole that caught my attention on the menu and it was really good. 100% natural is a nice place and much larger than i would have imagined. not many of the cuates showed up but that's ok because it just means that you get to know people better.

espacio escultórico, unam

after that, we rode the metro bus down to unam to view the sculptures. there's kind of a wild nature space with sculptures here and there and a path between them. it's like going on a hike to see art. definitely unique. it's a shame that people have vandalized the sculptures and signs with graffiti and trash. there was a new museum at unam but the line was really long. it was also fairly warm, much warmer than i thought it would be so we took a little refreshment break before we ventured out to walk around the more famous part of the campus. at least more famous to me. we went to see the building that i always picture when i think of unam.

unam campus

back at the house, we watched "persepolis" and it was really good. it was a film i've been meaning to see. i don't want to talk about it much, just recommend it if you haven't seen it. google a synopsis or review if you must.

dinner: soy al pastor tacos, i think.

cat update: he let me pet him a lot more but this was the first time that i tried to pet him so much. however, it's only in front of sara that he is nice to me, otherwise the cat is damn scared. i think he's just using me to get on the couch because he's not allowed on it. and also just pretending to like me when sara is not giving him the full affection he wants.
