arriving in seattle

i had planned on getting up early to take public transportation to the airport but a combination of last minute packing/planning, twiddle thumbs feeling ill, and general laziness led to us driving to the airport and parking in long term parking, which itself was a bit of an adventure as i have never parked overnight at LAX and didn't know where to go, nor did any of the signs indicate where "long-term" parking is. the signs just pointed to lot c but how the hell was i supposed to know that lot c is long term parking run by various parking sharks that thwarted the metroline from going straight to the airport.

we managed to park and take the shuttle to the airport. no lines for our flight so that was good. we got some water and a snack and just hung out waiting. the plane was smaller than what i usually fly in and quite narrow. i wanted to nap as i didn't really sleep but it was quite noisy--never thought one needed earplugs for a civilian flight.

arrival in japan?

we arrived in seattle and the airport announcements and signs included japanese, which is a bit surprising. we arrived at a satellite terminal and had to take the airport subway to the main terminal. with the japanese sign in the car, for a brief moment i could almost pretend that i've actually landed in japan.

my aunt and cousin (not parent/child) picked us up and it was off to whole foods to get some snacks and stuff for our brief stay. we went to their apartment where i got to see who i've been looking forward to seeing: my aunt's fat cat. however, i am told she has lost 4 pounds. she's still huge though. i shouldn't due to my allergies but i get really close to the cat. i grab her to sit with me on the couch and pet her until she "climaxes". this cat however is into s&m because she bites and scratches when she climaxes. this is true, no joke. i even have 2 marks on my fingers now as proof. part of her nail remained in my skin, a trophy i suppose.

the cat controls the tv

we were all quite tired, napped, then finished making dinner and ate. happy thanksgiving.
