making my intellectual debut [learning]

tomorrow i am making my intellectual debut by being a speaker at a museum. no, i'm not the only one speaking, thank god! rather, there will be 3 groups of people speaking at the japanese american national museum and i happen to be in one of those groups.

Did you know that there are nearly 1300 Nikkei in Cuba? Many members of the Nikkei community are of Okinawan descent (also known as Cubanchu). This Saturday, three US Nikkei groups will speak on their experiences with the Nikkei community in Cuba. Sponsored by the Japanese American National Museum, this program is part of the ongoing Discover Nikkei series. Members from 3 groups--Nikkei for Civil Rights & Redress (NCRR), Tsukimi Kai, and Choodee Without Borders--will present. Some entertainment and light reception to follow the program.
