skull Projects

Another "project" of mine is to minimize my life and I'm starting off by selling (and a few trades) most of my music collection. For now I am only listing about 200 pieces at a time, otherwise it becomes too much to deal with. If you do not see what you are looking for, then email me which band you are interested in and I'll see if I have what you're looking for. half.com, ebay, amazon.com, lala.com

so that was the film (mexican version) [watching]

i've been watching "cine mexicano", a three disc documentary on mexican cinema. it's all in spanish so twiddle thumbs has been translating for me. a scene i did not need translation for was one in which both of our ears suddenly perked up and we listened intently with excitement. it was a scene from "nave de los monstruos" (AKA ship of monsters). it looks like a really cheesy b-movie, no maybe even c-movie sci-fi film. we knew the scene because it was sampled in the song "halloween" by victimas del dr. cerebro. i'm very curious about this film and others like it now but i doubt there's english subtitled versions readily available. i do some searching on the internet and to my surprise this film will be shown at the san diego latino film festival this friday at 10pm. damn! i'm curious but i don't think curious enough to drive to san diego after work and make the drive back home so late. but it's good to know a copy does exist somewhere for me to view one day. better yet, i should learn spanish, live in mexico, and rent a bunch of classic mexican cinema! one day amigos, one day...
