skull Projects

Another "project" of mine is to minimize my life and I'm starting off by selling (and a few trades) most of my music collection. For now I am only listing about 200 pieces at a time, otherwise it becomes too much to deal with. If you do not see what you are looking for, then email me which band you are interested in and I'll see if I have what you're looking for. half.com, ebay, amazon.com, lala.com

californians on an adventure [geeking]

today we went to california adventure with my brother since he's never been there. i decided i would test out my camera, mostly taking b&w photos and using the filters i just bought. what's great about digital cameras is the ability to change from color to b&w and go back and forth on the same "roll" (memory card). it's really wonderful! you could always take all pictures in color and photoshop them later to b&w but i find that i never bother to do that so that's the reason i went out experimenting. i realized a couple of things. firstly, i'm not so jazzed about the filters i bought. or at least this was not the type of situation where they would come in handy. second, images that really call to me in color are crap in b&w--what looks boring to your eyes in color makes a fantastic b&w photo. and last but not least, i like how by taking photos in b&w, it appears that i spent the day at an amusement park a long time ago in the past. i didn't take any funky angles or blurred backgrounds, mostly just focusing on what looks good in b&w since it's been about 15 years since i've taken b&w photos. here's some shots i took:
