netflix thieves [screaming]
ok, i'm fucking sick of my netflix discs going missing so i've reported it to the post office since it's been too frequent lately to let it slide without informing them. i just want them to be more careful when sorting and delivering mail. (once i had this horrible time with their mail forwarding system but i never complained.) i'm also going to have to mark my mailbox as being different than my neighbor's boxes as i think i'm the only one who gets netflix and the rest rely on satellite only. i want them to feel some guilt if they accidentally receive my mail and don't return it to me.
i can see the satellite dishes from all of their balconies and when i got cable internet, the installation man told me none of my neighbors have cable. i suspect i may be the only one with netflix as once when i carried my mail in and the neighbor children playing outside saw i have netflix, they whined a little that their parents won't subscribe to netflix. then i suspected my neighbors watched the first disc that went missing because when i got the replacement disc, i was watching my film with the living room window curtain open and the children playing outside can see right in and they love to be nosy. well, one of them passed by and said something that related to the plot of the film so that sealed it for me that that kid's house had accidentally received my disc, watched it, and returned it. it was a strange film so they probably think i'm strange and i thought it might discourage them from watching more but one of the next discs that went missing was a kid's movie so i doubt they'll ever give me my netflix when it's accidentally deposited into their mailbox. the other theory is the mailman is watching it. i've read about mailmen stealing netflixes but given that one incident, i suspect my neighbors more. it really sucks because when mail is misdelivered, i give it to the person it's addressed to. i also want to thank the neighbor across the street once who accidentally received a package for me and instead of keeping it or even opening it, brought it to me. at least some people in the neighborhood are honest.
