dinner with a relative [living]
i rushed right after work to make it to a dinner with a relative who is visiting from out of town. it's my aunt who i stayed with over the summer when i went back east for a funeral. traffic is so bad that i was late but it's better to show my face than not show it at all. we were at one of the worst places for a vegan: outback steakhouse. they were kind enough to make us a pasta with olive oil instead of alfredo sauce so we were able to eat something. it may be hard to find vegan food, but where there's a will there's a way... especially if you don't ask to see the ingredients list for the pasta or bread!
