it's too early for my close-up mr. de mille

the flight we left on last night (technically this morning) was a red eye, which means it was after midnight when most people should be asleep. if you're sleep deprived, you have red eyes i guess and hence the origin of the name. at least i hope the origin of the name is that kind of red eye!

we arrived early morning and here i am in the airport just thinking and looking like shit. we're here too early to check in to the hotel. all we can really do is hang out in the food court area and marvel at all the american fast food chains that are available to us in foreign countries. no thanks, i pass.

later in the day we checked into our hotel and walked around briefly to get a sense of our surroundings. for dinner i had the best beans and rice i ever had. i was just too hungry and enjoying the food that i completely forgot to take a picture, like i usually do when i travel. sorry about that.
