nihon kara yatto renraku ga kita [living]

my friend michiyo wrote to me! i'm so happy. she sent me an email message. i haven't heard from either of the two people i've written to and was beginning to get worried. that is why i decided to send michiyo a message to her phone. japan's internet usage is centered around mobile phones, not computers. earlier this year she said she finally got a pc email address so that's why i wrote to it. i find it much easier for me to communicate in japanese via email because i can easily look up the words/kanji i don't know via online dictionaries if i can copy and paste. if it's offline communication, i tend to be much lazier about using actual dictionaries. and let's face it, there's a lot of words i don't know!

i'm really happy that michiyo wrote to me because she is my longtime penpal friend and we have many things in common like our lives our bonded somehow. and of course, she loves buck-tick too. i've met her in person twice, both in america. the second time was when she came specifically to vacation and hang out with me. that was 10 years ago. hard to believe so much time has passed. every time i go to japan, i've never been able to swing by where she lives because it's out of the way for me. now she lives in the big city, in tokyo, and it will be so much easier for me to visit her. with my brother living there and a friend, that gives me more excuse to visit and possibly a place to crash. i can't wait to go there. and we're definitely gonna go ot a buck-tick concert together!
