latin american museum of art [living]

today we went to the latin american museum of art. it just opened or revamped recently. i don't know why i can't recall if it's brand new or revamped. i suppose it's because i've passed by the building enough that i always thought it was open. then one day i went to the web site and found out it would be opening soon. i noted when that would be and thought i would go right away. no, instead it too me a few weeks. the museum was alright. i don't think it had enough for me to go back right away. none of the works really called to me. it was a diverse collection mainly i think because it was more modern stuff and trying to show all the various things latin american artists do. however, some of it was inspiring on a more get out there and do it level. it made me think about how when we are kids we create art all the time with the found materials around us. as adults we don't use our creativity much. we tend to just consume instead of making necessities or decorations for the home. it's time to let that creative child out and see what it can do for adults.
