site issue solved [geeking]
an issue i had with buck-tick zone has been solved. some people said that when they try to view the site, they can't. i had to get specific with them of course to help troubleshoot what the issue was. some people with the same operating system and browser version could view the site while others could not. surely it must be user error. some setting to change. but i cannot request everyone to do this if they can't even see my site. the trouble seems to be they can view the first part, the very first part, where there's an image and perhaps even a menu, but no text in the rest of the page where there should be text.
this caused me to examine the site carefully. i did find some typos but that wasn't the issue. it seems it was the damn free javascript from gvisit.com that generates a nice map of visitors. too bad because i first put that on this blog and then to btzone. i really liked that map because it was the nicest way i have ever seen of compiling recent visitors. it also transcends language barriers. people could look at the map and instantly get a sense of who's seen the page. i liked that with my buck-tick site because they are a japanese band with international fans. this way people could see how far spread their fanbase is or if others in their area like them as well. unfortunately, that script was the culprit and i had to remove it. i'll have to remove it from this blog too.
