our holiday weekend road trip came to an end today. we drove back home on the 5. i haven't taken that all way in a very long time because it's boring. just cows and dead grass. i was reminded today of that boringness. hot. i had forgoten about the heat. it was a quick drive but we had some traffic once we hit LA county. i guess the boring drive is worth the short time. it makes it feel like nothing. especially when a trip is over, you just want to get home. so that was nice. we got back before it got dark. it was really hard to find things that we could eat at the road side stops but we never got too hungry because the drive was so short. so once we were back, we went to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. a nice trip overall.
