the dslr adventure [living]
i bought a dslr camera 2 days ago. canon rebel xti. woo hoo. didn't want to try learning how to use it yesterday at california adventure and have to worry about it getting fucked up so i didn't take it with me. today we went back to best buy where we bought it and got price matching because it's cheaper at costco (and includes a memory card). we didn't bitch about the memory card. we took that price difference refund money and marched right over to costco and bought the memory card. so i'm happy that we were able to buy it at the costco price but get the best buy extra 4 year warranty, which looks like really good coverage. i haven't even opened the damn box yet, just in case best buy wouldn't give the price matching and i had to return it (though i'd hate giving up the sweet 4 year warranty). sure if i searched hard online i could've found it cheaper but i don't want to wait for it to arrive. it could take forever. that's what happened a couple years back when i bought my current camera. plus, i wouldn't be able to get that damn best buy warranty.
after costco, we went to the library and i tried to check out the books i had marked on amazon regarding digital photography tips, tricks, etc. but the few the library had were already checked out. so i browsed the shelves and picked some other books instead.
