today one of twiddle thumbs's co-workers came over for dinner. he is the it man of mystery because no one knew much about him until twiddle thumbs started working there. i guess he kept to himself and no one bothered to get to know him. so twiddle thumbs is the one who is known for cracking his shell and now they get along well. because of that, i said the guy sounds like my brother. twiddle thumbs also gets along with him very well but no one else in family seems to.

i thought he'd be there right after work so i didn't want to take forever cooking once we got home so we started preparing for this yesterday. yesterday we made fresh spring rolls with the clear vietnamese wraps. i also started preparing the yakisoba yesterday. we also had some thai potstickers and cold spinach with sesame seeds (hourensou no goma-ae). so pretty much it was an asian themed dinner. plus the mandatory vegan cupcakes for dessert. i guess it went well. nothing much exciting.
