real time taping [watching]

dani got tickets to see a taping of "real time with bill maher". i have never seen the show and i don't like the guy but what the hell, it's a tv show taping! so after work we rushed our butts downtown to the cbs studio. the show wasn't bad but it's not something i'd get cable for. the guests were dana carvey, the white house press secretary scott "douchebag" mcclellan, and senator bill bradley. i really only know dana carvey. he provided the comedic relief. the people behind us kept shouting back at all the crap that came out of that came out of the press secretary's mouth. bill bradley had some good quotes and landed a very verbal punchbacks. bill maher also talked to via satellite the reverend al sharpton and sheryl crow. al sharpton was definitely sharp and held his own. it was a bit surprising at the very end when bill made a gay joke about the reverend but the reverend set him up for it. if you are having trouble with that last sentence, you have to watch the episode in question.
