our big sister program is back in action [living]
or so it seems as we picked up twiddle thumbs's niece and her half-brother to go to dinner and spend some time at our place. all of us participated in making dessert: vegan cupcakes. they freakin' loved them. especially the boy. he's really strange. you cannot tell him what he is eating because he's so picky. of course we can't say vegan or vegetarian, though the big sister knows and understands. with him once we made him a vegan sausage/potato burrito and he made an icky face when we offered it because he hates burritos. we said it's meat and potato. he ate it. (he hates sausage.) he loved it apparently because his mom asked twiddle thumbs about it. perhaps he has been requesting it!
as we waited for the cupcakes to bake, we played donkey konga. it's hard at first to get the sense of how it works and the music timing, but the kids picked it up and liked it. again, the boy loved it. he might start getting too attached!
