easter supper [ingesting]
we went to one world vegetarian restaurant for their easter feast because we have yet to eat there for a holiday meal. i'm not really into easter but i was very curious about the food so here it goes. it was expensive. it was $19.95 per person. for that price, it better be good! and it was. even took home leftovers. though i think there should have been 1 more course for the price.
spring feast includes (all vegan):
spring spinach roll-ups - these were like little tiny ham wrap appetizers though i can't recall if it was veggie ham in particular or just some veggie meat. anyway, it was ok. i believe the dressing was a soy mayo.
creamy pumpkin soup - the soup was good. it perhaps could have used 1 more dash of pepper but even though salt and pepper shakers were at our table, i rarely mess with a chef's creation. i want to taste and enjoy their vision.
orange dream smoothie - this drink was quite tall and a generous serving. i usually have to get many refills of water but not this time.
after that it was the main plate which consisted of:
garden potato salad - not bad. a little odd that it had peas in it but who cares.
roasted asparagus in olive oil - this was the best damn asparagus i have ever had. there was also a glaze on it. like some vietnamese dipping sauce they serve in their other dishes. damn it was good.
baked stuffed veggie ham - this was pretty damn good and they gave you two servings.
vegan lemon cheesecake - no! what a tease! they ran out! they gave us vegan chocolate cake instead. the bottom of mine was burnt a bit so i didn't eat the burned bits. it wasn't bad. if it's chocolate, i'll scarf it.
