last night we had dinner at native food and as i was try to sleep, the vegan chili i ate started talking back to me. i had heartburn. bad. it bothered me throughout today. i decided not to go to work. i didn't eat much. i had a very early dinner at california vegan in santa monica. we've ate at the hollywood location several times but this was our first time at the santa monica one. there's so many items on the menu that i never know what to pick. for some reason, pancakes were calling to me so i ordered the vegan slam, which consisted of pancakes, veggie bacon, and tofu scramble. i was really looking forward to the tofu scramble ut it sucked. i'm not really into fake meats so much, especially when i'm not feeling well stomach wise but the veggie bacon wasn't bad. the pancakes were amazing. i was so shocked. they tasted like real pancakes. i haven't had pancakes like this since before i went vegan. without a doubt, they are the best vegan pancakes in the world.
