latv taping [listening]
last night we went to attend the LATV taping of aterciopelados as the guest performers. i'm not sure what's the name of the show or when it will air. the channel's web site sucks. they lied about how long we would be there for the taping as well. i wouldn't have minded being there for long if they would just be honest about it. they said taping is 8pm-10pm and to get there early at 7:30pm at the latest to get in. we were there really early. it was taking so long that twiddle thumbs was about to leave and go home. the taping didn't being until 9:15pm. we stood there around the band as they were being interviewed by the host. this interview was all in spanish and lasted for 1 hour. the host went back and forth between english and spanish which is fine since that's the languages of the audience and the band knows english. i just found it interesting that she wasn't comfortable enough with spanish and would keep going back to english even though the band never responded in english. twiddle thumbs translated some of the band's responses for me. then they performed live and we were right in front which was cool. they performed 7 songs, which is many more than i thought they would. they even recorded one song twice since hector didn't like how it sounded the first time they played it, though i don't think any of us fans noticed anything wrong with it the first time. when they were done playing, all of us wanted them to keep playing. andrea told us to come to the show on saturday in echo park to hear more and they left the stage. no one seemed to know about it. we however already have our tickets.
