superbowl sunday [living]

today we stayed in and actually watched a bit of the superbowl. that's hard even for us to believe. before the game was an opening bit put on by cirque du soleil and we were interested in seeing that--even got an antenna so we could watch the damn thing. but it wasn't so good. we watched perhaps the first quarter of the game. i'm not at all familiar with how superbowls go. i just know that the halftime show is a big deal as well as the commercials. they announced each player as they came out on the field. everyone was cheering. but then they started booing at one guy. it's the superbowl. it's not like it's home vs. visitors and they were booing the visitors. no, i think they booed 'cos the guy's name was muhammed and right now the country is in a bit of anti-muslim stance. fucking ridiculous. it's time to grow up and open your mind.
