jersey family fortunes [watching]
i decided to netflix a bunch of bush/war/election/oil/terror/etc related documentaries so i'll be watching those for the next month or three. it's starting with "bush family fortunes: the best democracy money can buy". this was interesting but told in a strange way that made it seem like tabloid journalism.
i also watched "jersey girl". kevin smith hasn't made that many films but some people love him so i've been slowly trying to watch all of his films. after this, i think i only have 1 to go. overall, his films are a hit or miss with me. this was not a miss! it's kinda cheesy but well done. i liked it. i think you could sit down with just about anyone and watch it. there's nothing about it that you'd think, 'oh god, i can't show my mother this!' or grandparent, or insert anyone you can think of that you usually have to be careful about showing certain movies. even though it has cast a couple actors that some might find annoying, they are not in this film or their role is so minimal that they are never an annoyance.
