tonight we went to the apple store in pasadena because i need to buy a new power adaptor for the laptop. the current one is fraying and i'm afraid it might smoke or start a fire or something. well, they didn't have any! argh. we went to the one in pasadena so we could also stop by whole foods. we always spend too much money there. the joke is we spend $100 and come home with 2 bags. we go there maybe once a month and it's not like everything there is vegetarian or vegan, most of it is not, yet every fucking time we find some new vegan things there that we have to try out. also, we end up always getting toiletries or cosmetics or something that's really expensive.

today i received a letter from my cousin's wife in japan. she's into aromatherapy. she told me which scents she likes and how she can't get them because they are too expensive. i decided to be nice and buy 2 essential oils for her. they're poor and what's $30 to me? really. this will make her very happy and that's a good thing. i'm sending it right away so that she receives it soon. the turnaround will be so fast, her head will spin i'm sure, especially because she did not ask me to get it for her. writing my reply to her letter will take a lot longer!
