i was the designated driver for this weekend. i drove alpha tom's car. he bought a yaris. it's ok but sitting in it as a driver is a bit awkward. i think the back of the chair doesn't sit up straight enough. plus he put some extra padding on the chairs that elevated me too much or something. the rearview mirror is attached to the front glass so it blocks part of your view.

last night we picked up the aussie in venice and then went to universal city walk. it was ok but after maybe 40 minutes of watching a 1980s cover band, we walked around the shops and then decided to try to have dinner at the hard rock. we should've went to a restaurant first. we should've got their earlier if we were going to eat. everywhere was packed. a lot of the places were charging too just to get in. the whole point of us going to the city walk was because it was free, though we did have to pay a high price for parking. we ended up just watching the band after their break and didn't go into any of the restaurants.
