little miss anti-social [living]

today i went to a yosc meeting that took forever. it was for chairs only. that must mean that i am a chair of something. can you guess what? it is hilarious. i am the social committee chair! that means i'm responsible for putting together events so that we can be social. it kinda feels like i'm the only one planning events or has the balls to say what needs to be said at time and to execute. although, i've barely been in this position so i shouldn't trip myself up so early with such statements. the funny part is, and i'm sure all the other chairs will agree, is that we're really only chairs by default. i mean, no one else goes to the meetings! who are the young okinawans? just us and we're not that young. well, if okinawans are the oldest people on the planet then yes we are young 'cos we're under 80. hahahaaa

i'm here to change things. to make yosc bustling with activities and not just meetings. ever since i started becoming involved with the yosc upon my return from new zealand, i really can't say that they've done much. now it's we as i am officially responsible for shit. let me tell you, we will be bustling with activities. i wanna see a lot of new faces show up. hell, i just want to see faces. i don't care if it's a slow increase as long as it's an increase. the funny thing is though that i really don't have any japanese friends, let alone okinawan friends. that's why it's so important to emphasize that this is not a culturally exclusive group. you don't have to be okinawan, just have an interest. this is not mecha. i will try not to scare people away.
