it's that time of the year. time to pay the dmv for my vehicle's registration. time to submit a smog check as well. which means i should first get a tune up. by coincidence, the same for twiddle thumbs. her brother offered to do the tune up so i took it over today and watched him. i asked questions. i wanted to learn more about what's going on under the hood just in case i'm ever stranded on the side of the road and need to assess and possibly remedy what's wrong by myself. then we took the cars for a smog check. pass. yea! now i just have to pay the registration and the car is taken care of for awhile. it just sucks that the next time i have to do an oil change/etc. is when i also have to see the dentist. i better save up for that month because i'm not sure how bad the damage will be to my wallet.
