diary of a lost it girl [watching]

recent netflix include the classic silent films "diary of a lost girl" and "it". anyone into films has probably heard of "it" which stars clara bow, who became known as the 'it' girl. 'it' being all things sexy. she just had 'it'. you couldn't say what 'it' was. it was not what i expected but still cute and fun. it's a silent black and white and even twiddle thumbs enjoyed it so that's saying something!

"diary of a lost girl" is one of the films i had always meant to see but never had access to it until more recently. it stars louise brooks who i got into in high school. she made 2 films in germany and then her career went south and she gave up on hollywood. the 2 films were this and "pandora's box", which again if you are into films, you have probably heard of, but probably not the kids these days! both films are classic, must-sees. i haven't seen "pandora's box" in years so i can't comment. however, "diary of a lost girl" surprised me. the subject matter is a bit much for the day. it's amazing all that was covered. i think a little later as a talkie and with the codes, they would have had to change much.
