the nikkei community has what japan has not [living]

tonight we went to marukai pacific square in gardena. man, i had not been there in ages! it started off with me being polite and offering to make tea. i realized we don't have a japanese hot water heater and damn it, i can't make tea without it! we got into the car and went to marukai promptly for a japanese hot water heater! after browsing marukai, i went next door to book off where they sell used books and cds. i saw one in costa mesa as we recently went to the marukai there. i thought, "great, a place where i can sell my japanese cds and maybe clean out my mom's house of excess books!" at the book off in garden, i found cds i could not find in japan!!! woo hoo!
