this morning i fired up the laptop and found out that there is no more free internet at the new place. you see, one of the neighbors has wireless internet and didn't have any password on it. i was able to join in their network and check my email and a couple web pages. i didn't hog up resources. i just was happy that i could check my email at home because i'm not sure when i'll be getting high speed access at home. (death to dial-up!) after just a few days, it looks like the neighbor has noticed and closed off their network. oh well, i have internet access at work.

[update 11/21/06: the internet works today! i guess yesterday the neighbor's equipment was down. sorry to keep sponging off of you! we're just email addicts. must figure out what to do about internet/tv/etc. soon.]
