black friday [living]

today is what the consumer world calls black friday. people get up buttfuck early in order to get items on sale during the morning only. i do not participate in this nonsense. however, if you have money ready for a big item you've been wanting, now is a great time to get the item cheaper or spend the same amount and get something a step above what you would have bought. twiddle thumbs joined her sister for the shopping madness and sent word back that she purchased a washer/dryer. woohoo! we can have clean clothes again! now we just gotta sell the current washer/dryer. damn, i gotta get on this stuff! what i have been doing today is updating the young okinawans of southern california web site so that it is current with the news/events and includes the new committee chairpersons bios/pics. of which, i was volunteered to be the social chair! ahahaha of all things. everyone is so serious that i had a humorous jab at my bio. i then spent the rest of the day, and still am, listing cds on half.com so i can have a few bucks come in. this will help pay for essentials such as washer/dryer, sofa, etc. actually, it won't pay that much. perhaps just groceries. organic can be expensive!
