a partial failure [listening]
we went to go see the band that twiddle thumbs played in for one night at the same place, the rainbow bar and grill on sunset. they got an actual drummer who plays a kit and changed their name to a partial failure. the songs sound different with a full kit and it doesn't feel like it's altogether there yet. the singer doesn't play guitar on some of the songs that they used to and perhaps the sound drops out a bit now. i thought they had a bassist too but not yet. after the show, we went to the tower records on sunset to check out their going out of business sale. it's hard to believe tower records is finally going away after these past few years of such talk. the sale price only brought it down to about regular or slightly below regular price. we picked up some stuff that we had been interested in, new bands really (or just new to us). they had a shitload of emperor vinyl, the picture discs. i already have the boxset. so if you like emperor, head on down to tower on sunset!
