tennis flashback [gaming]

tonight was the second time of the weekly tennis thing with twiddle thumbs's niece that she initiated. this time the niece's little brother went too. it can be frustrating to teach someone something of which they know nothing about or have no skills in. it was also strange to try to get my body to do the moves i used to do so easily because i haven't played tennis in over a decade. also, the balls were a little flat. i'd just give the racquet a little tap like i used to do and the ball wouldn't even make it over the net. very frustrating. then i'd hit the ball harder to compensate for the flatness and it would be too strong and the newbies would be afraid to hit it. when the kids did hit the ball, it was typical of children: really high and going into other people's courts. a bit embarrassing. i started getting flashbacks of how when i was a kid i was dragged to play tennis and i hated it so i would channel my rage by hitting the ball as far and high as i could. it's going to be a painful summer.
