the brightest light source was the sign advertising to the freeway

last night we did the weekly kid thing but instead of taking them to play tennis, we took the kids to golf n stuff as a fun day to do something a little different. we started to play miniature golf around sunset. as it was getting dark, the park lights were not turning on. the phone number was on the scorecard so we called to ask them to turn on the lights. they did start turning them on, but not all of them. the section we were playing in was still in the dark. we called to bitch again that it was now completely dark outside and no overhead nor ground lights were on in the area we were at. the teenage staff really didn't seem to care. they said the light bulbs are out and they would send someone to replace the bulbs. i explained that it wasn't 1 or 2 lights but the entire section we were in. (maybe there is a row of switches and they forgot to flip one.) they said they would send someone out to take a look. later the lights in our section did go on and we saw a couple guys going around and replacing ground bulbs but they skipped many dead bulbs but i was just pissed at the overall experience and vowed never to go back. for example, they have started to charge for parking there. last time we went (earlier this year), they were refunding the cost of parking by giving patrons the same amount off the cost of miniature golf. this time, they said they stopped doing that. it really isn't a nice enough place to go anymore so i won't.
