world cup and computers [geeking]

twiddle thumbs and i did some geeking while watching the soccer world cup at her parents' house. we were finishing up on helping her little sister fix her pc and get used to the mac. i was also playing around with itunes playlists on my own laptop. i was surprised at the various bands i had forgotten to put in my playlists. that is why the songs in the "not in playlists" playlist really comes in handy. i just wish that there was more muscle in being able to create playlists. especially smart playlists. right now, they're not that smart. example, all of my personal taste playlists start off with my initials and the same goes for twiddle thumbs. i have a master playlist for each person that combines all of their personal playlists. the sucky part is you have to specifiy the name of each playlist as part of a drop down menu and then pick "is" or "is not". it would be nice if instead you could type words and specify "contains" or "does not contain". i also have a "itunes one hit wonders" playlist which contains songs of artists for whom i have only 1 song in itunes. i had to do that one by hand. there's nothing that allows me to create it smartly with the current setup. it's little shit like that that prevents itunes from being a 5 star product. otherwise, it's a damn fine product.

oh and uh, the pasta eaters beat the frog leg eaters. it was a good match. i've never watched the world cup before. nice to catch it for a change in my viewing habits.
