today i received the offer letter for the new position i am to take within the company i work for. i had verbally agreed to a certain annual salary but once i saw what it comes out to in an hourly wage in print, i nearly had a heart attack. i'm only going to be earning $1.45/hr more than what i earn now. i'm never going to be able to afford the things i want to do in life. this is so depressing. i could just walk away and get a couple temp jobs at a higher salary. i know i am worth more. i just can't afford to go a single day without pay. i really need to have experience doing other things too so that i am more marketable. i'm just gonna suck it up and stick with this for awhile because there really are nice things about the office i work in right now. i not only get along with my co-workers, i like them. i get to listen to music, my music. these are firsts for me.
