when in doubt, go with a sure thing [living]

last night we wanted to take our parents to a grunion run and decided that we better not take any chances and go back to cabrillo beach in san pedro, where we first saw the grunion. my mom forgot about it and i think her boyfriend was out of town on business. twiddle thumbs's parents and little sister showed up. her parents have lived in southern california for 30 years but have never seen a grunion run so that was cool. even though the sky was covered in clouds, there seemed to be more grunion than the last time we came.
