watching movies i've never seen [watching]
it's time to watch those classic and popular movies i've never seen! it's silly to have some strange notion of pride for never seeing those films. that's as ignorant as being proud for having never read a classic and popular book. it doesn't matter if you don't like it, the point is that you have experience it and given it a chance. i watched 2 films on my mother's shelves: "breakfast at tiffany's" and "top gun".
"breakfast at tiffany's"
well, this isn't what i expected at all. i actually don't know what i expected because i knew nothing of the film. just the main star and title. let me tell you, miss hepburn never has breakfast at tiffany's. what a rip off!!! just kidding. i'm not sure if i liked or hated this movie. it's more of a lukewarm thing. i'm glad i watched it but i'd probably never watch it again. but i'll probably quote "fred baby" for awhile. hilarious!
"top gun"
i don't know how it started but i hate tom cruise, hence i never saw this film and never have a desire to see any film he is in. there has to be A LOT OF FUCKING HYPE for me to watch a tom cruise movie. so why did i finally watch this movie? because it pissed me off more that i can't 100% finish a couple lists on listsofbests.com if i don't watch this movie! i knew it was about the military and flying (duh!) but i didn't know it was the navy and not the air force. however, don't think i'm so stupid as to not be in the know that the navy does more than just the seas. the blue angels? yes, i've seen them. the other thing i knew about this film is that goose dies, thanks to "meet the parents". all of this is irrelevant though. now that i've seen "top gun", i can give my opinion on it, which is that this is the gayest movie i have ever seen. i don't mean 'gay' as in 'lame', i mean 'gay' as in 'homosexual'. c'mon, the footage of the guys is fuckin' gay! playing volleyball? gay! locker room scene? gay!
