catching up on disney films [watching]

it's true that i hate disney overall but the old disney films are classics and i want to see them all and make sure that twiddle thumbs as a declared disney fan has seen them all. last night we watched "mulan" at nopalita's house because her house has several disney movies on vhs since there are young children in the family. neither i nor twiddle thumbs had seen "mulan" before. sure it's not a classic in the old sense but it's popular enough that i think it's part of or will be part of what is considered to be disney classics. but then i watched it. and it's crap. scratch that one out of the classics! hahahaaa other more modern disney animated films that i have not seen are "the lion king" and "aladdin", though i think i have seen a few bits and pieces. i'm more interested in seeing the older films though.

at my mom's house there are also some disney films on vhs so i looked through them and we watched something i haven't seen since i was a kid and twiddle thumbs hasn't seen at all: "the sword in the stone". i fell asleep about halfway or three-fourths through the film so i should go back and finish it. it's been so long that i didn't really remember the narrative although i can picture merlin wearing bermuda shorts. another film my mom has is "bambi", which again twiddle thumbs hasn't seen and it's been so long for me that i can't remember it. i just need to keep poking around the vhs tapes of friends and family because altogether we should be able to find the bulk of the classic disney catalogue and then use netflix to fill in the blanks.
