today was the second and last day of going down to corporate to train the replacement. i don't mind so much going down there, it's the drive back in traffic i can't stand. i always try to leave there by 3pm so i don't hit traffic, but i never seem to be able to get out of there before 5pm. things aren't so bad and then you hit irvine and it sucks. this time i had the patience to not get off the freeway and try to make it by street. you endure about 20-30 minutes in the irvine area and then it picks up a bit, stalls again, then smooth from there. i found that if you have the patience to get through it, you probably can get home a few minutes faster than by street. i just can't stand being still. if i have to wait for someone and it's been 5 minutes, i'm already planning on walking away. learning to stay in one place is something i really need to work on.
