scratch a cynic and find a romantic [thinking]
i'd love to say that this will be the year of not speaking, that from now on i'll take a vow of silence. of that this will be the year of abstinence. earlier i called this the year of not caring. it's really all just for dramatic flair. it's that i have zero expectations for this year that i'm at a loss for words. i don't want to say i'll do this or that. i don't want to screw up my chances of good things happening or be disappointed when they don't. so i'll just keep my mouth/brain/heart shut and expect nothing.
