drowning in kangen water [living]
here i go, slipping further into this kangen water business. i haven't tried to sell it to anyone and already i've received a commission check. my mom said something about us going to the bank today. (i didn't know about the check until we were at the bank.) i thought there was some group account and we have to add my name to it. we had to wait a long time for service. i stood up at first but after 1 hour passed, i sat down. are we opening an account in russia? were all the employees formerly employed at the dmv? what's going on here? there was only 1 employee opening accounts and the same couple were being attended to ever since we arrived. we weren't even next in line.
as we were waiting, the employee handed those who were waiting some paperwork to start filling out and it got me talking with my mom. i wasn't here to add myself to an account, i was here to open up my own account. my mom has a bank account just for keeping track of the commissions and she wanted me to do the same. though my mom's account is a checking account that she wants to change to savings because she claims it was a mistake and she wants me to have my own savings account, which under her orders i am never to withdraw the money (and shatters any idea of the commission funding my trip to okinawa).
i wish she would've told me exactly what she was thinking from the beginning. it would have been so much simpler for me to go to the bank when i had time and do it myself instead of together. but when we were actually opening the account, she wanted her name on it too, you know, for emergencies so she could make withdrawals. i kept trying to dissuade her because she doesn't have a valid reason to and she kept going back and forth on the joint account thing. she was thinking that i might go somewhere and not be able to make a deposit and the only way to do so is if her name was on the account too. even the banker was telling her that as long as you have a deposit slip, anyone can make a deposit. withdrawals on the other hand can only be done by the person(s) whose name is on the account. she was also trying to say how she wants separate accounts only for commission for the purpose of keeping track how much we are earning on this venture and i told her she could have complete access to the bank statements, that when they arrive in the mail, they are hers. but that wasn't enough for her liking.
if my mom would outright say that she wants the commission addressed to me, it's hers. i could just hand over my checks to her or deposit them and write the same amount to her. or she could add me to her account and that'd save us the business of opening an account for me but no, the more we talked about it, the more she was adamant that my checks go into a joint account. you know, just in case. hmm, i smell cuttlefish. 20 years later you'll see me on vh1 on some show about child stars whose parents spent all their income. only, i'm not a child star and i haven't done anything yet to earn this check which i've already received. hmm, that smell is getting stronger.

Does the kangen water really work? How long has your mom been selling these kangen water machines?

she has been selling for about 1 year and firmly believes in kangen water. she had some joint issues that i believe have cleared up since drinking much kangen water everyday. there are many in her kangen circle with similar stories. i like the taste of kangen water but i usually just drink it. one could use it for many applications as the machine has settings for different types of water for various uses.
i am not a good person to talk to about whether kangen water is the greatest thing in the world because i am a born cynic. also, i believe the way to change one's health is to change your life, not just 1 factor, (i.e., foods consumed, amount and quality of foods consumed, amount and variety of exercise, life attitude, laugh/smile often, get enough sleep, etc.).
of course, drinking lots of water is something everyone should do. it seems to me that hardly anyone does this and that is a big reason why our bodies are out of balance. such as we think we are hungry but we are actually thirsty because our bodies are perpetually dehydrated.
if there is a kangen product that i think is really worth it, it would be the shower attachment that filters out chlorine. do some research and you'll see how bad the water that comes out of the pipes is for your health. one of the easiest ways for chlorine to enter our bodies is to be absorbed through the skin and also through inhalation. this sort of thing is greatly reduced by the filter. i just wish this filter was on every faucet.

The chlorine in water is disturbing. There is one test I have seen done where there are 2 cups of identical tap water. One person places their fingers in one of the cups for a few minutes. They then put in a drop of some solution they will turn the water yellow if chlorine is present.
In the plain cup, the water turns yellow, but in the other cup -- the one with the person's fingers in it -- it remains clear.
The chlorine has been absorbed through the skin...

i don't want to quote a wrong price but i think they cost $3000. keep in mind that it is cost effective in the long run because the device can make several types of water and so you no longer need to purchase these. (especially women who buy toners and "beauty water" from the cosmetic counters.) i haven't fully utilized all of the water types it can make so i can not speak of these too well. i think that speaking to a rep, doing your own research, and attending demonstrations are necessary.
